Job summary

ScribeAmerica is hiring for on-site medical scribes in the United States. You will work closely with doctors to document visits, record patient history, exams, and treatments, and use EHR systems. Training is provided, with opportunities for career growth and flexible shift options.

Responsibilities include reviewing lab results, maintaining secure records under HIPAA, and assisting the healthcare team to keep the clinic running smoothly. Requires 18+ and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (18+).
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM is required.
• Fluent in English: reading, writing and speaking.
• Strong listening and communication skills are essential.
• Flexible schedule availability is needed.
• Must be able to stand, sit, and use a computer for extended periods.
• You will receive a laptop after training, but you must have your own for training.

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow-ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.
