Job summary

ScribeAmerica is hiring on-site Medical Scribes to support doctors by documenting patient visits in real time. You’ll record medical histories, exams, test results, and prescriptions, enabling physicians to focus on patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proof of vaccinations may be required.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM is expected.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills are essential.
• Flexible schedule availability is required.
• Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours.
• Access to a laptop (provided after training, own device needed for training).

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow-ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.
