Job summary

The Wright Center for Community Health seeks a Medical Scribe to support providers in the clinic. You will transcribe history and physical exams, document procedures, and ensure chart accuracy under provider direction.

This role involves maintaining EMR notes, monitoring test results, upholding HIPAA, and collaborating with residents and staff. Weekend and occasional holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS Certificate required.
• CMS Certification preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or medical office is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe history and physical exams as dictated by the provider.
• Sign off and date entries identifying your role as the Scribe in the medical record.
• Track results from labs, x-ray, or other evaluations and monitor progress.
• Assist in completing the chart as needed to support the provider.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security of patient information at all times.
• Collaborate with physician residents and fellows on billing/coding and use of Digital Assistant.
