Job summary

The Wright Center is seeking a Medical Scribe to support clinicians in documenting patient encounters and ensuring accurate, complete medical records. The role involves accompanying the provider during exams to transcribe history and physical findings and to document procedures performed.

Responsibilities include signing entries, tracking lab and imaging results, and assisting with administrative duties while adhering to HIPAA policies and clinical workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records is required.
• CMS Certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Attend provider in examination room to transcribe history and physical exams.
• Transcribe procedures performed by the provider.
• Sign off and date entries identifying the Scribe role in the medical record.
• Monitor lab/x-ray results and track status of data.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security of patient information.
