Job summary

Montage Health in Monterey, CA seeks a Medical Scribe to accurately transcribe patient encounters into the EMR under supervision. You will accompany physicians during exams to document history, physicals, diagnoses, symptoms, and procedures for physician review.

You will also transcribe orders for labs, radiology and medications, ensuring timely and correct entry, while upholding patient confidentiality and professional communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes and medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills required.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and maintain accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe medical notes from patient encounters into the EMR under the Lead Medical Scribe.
• accompany physicians during examinations to document history, physicals, diagnoses, symptoms and procedures.
• Document orders for labs, radiology, and medications accurately and promptly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively with physicians, patients and staff.
