Job summary

The scheduler will use Allscripts and Centricity Business, coordinate pre-certifications, and confirm instructions with patients, ensuring clear communication and efficient care pathways across the clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic is preferred.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow-up visits and return visits for patients.
• Obtain pre-certifications and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients.
• Discuss patient instructions for procedures so patients understand expectations.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide follow-up instructions.
• Retrieve information from other hospital systems using Allscripts/Centricity and paging tools.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all matters.
