Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety Technician on 3rd shift to provide first aid and treat work-related injuries.

You will perform daily safety inspections, maintain confidential medical records, and support post-offer drug testing and hearing assessments as needed. Responsibilities include leading monthly safety meetings, ensuring OSHA compliance, and performing related duties in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.

Qualifications

• EMT license is required.
• CPR and basic first aid certification required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat all work-related injuries.
• Perform daily safety inspections to ensure compliance.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
