Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety & Medical Coordinator for the 3rd shift at our facility. You will provide first aid and manage medical records, conduct drug and hearing tests, and lead monthly safety meetings to uphold strict safety standards.

Ideal candidates have EMT, CPR/First Aid, OSHA certifications, and prior safety experience in manufacturing, with strong organizational and communication skills for confidential handling of medical information.

Qualifications

• EMT license is required.
• CPR and basic first aid certification are required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications are preferred.
• Experience in safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat work-related injuries.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Maintain confidential medical records.
• Conduct post-offer drug testing and hearing tests.
• Lead monthly safety meetings.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

• EMT LICENSE REQUIRED
• CPR and Basic First Aid Certified required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
