Job summary

Witherite Law Group is seeking a Medical Records Specialist in Richardson, TX. The role focuses on managing medical records for personal injury cases, including ordering, following up, OCR, and redaction to prepare for Case Managers and Paralegals.

You will handle a large caseload, coordinate with medical providers and clients, and ensure timely delivery of records and accuracy in Filevine. Strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication on phone, in person and email.
• Strong time management, multitasking and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (Needles preferred).
• Experience in personal injury law involving motor vehicle accidents is a plus.
• Outstanding organizational skills and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Order medical records, billing records, radiology imaging, etc. with or without affidavit.
• Follow up on pending records bi-weekly; pay invoices and schedule couriers.
• Upload/Save all records to Filevine as they arrive.
• OCR and redact clients’ records for Case Manager and Paralegals.
• Search for subrogation liens (hospital, Medicaid/Care, child support, etc.).
• Verify balances for all medical providers for demands or mediation.
• Manage a large caseload, emails, a checklist and deadlines.
