Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Area Health Information Specialist I to process medical record requests with scrupulous privacy and accuracy. This onsite, full-time role requires frequent travel to Murfreesboro and other TN locations. The ideal candidate has HIM experience, strong data entry, and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities include handling requests for patient records, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and supporting site operations while maintaining high-quality service and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Ability to receive, review, and process patient health information requests.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills for HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent customer service orientation with medical record workflows.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process ROI requests in accordance with policy and privacy rules.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
• Travel up to 75% to various locations in TN.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed.
• Generate reports and support site operations as directed.
