Job summary

LaSante Health Center is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to compile, assemble, process, and maintain patient records. The role requires careful handling of documentation, accurate scanning, and organizing files to ensure records are complete and accessible for ongoing patient care.

You will work as part of the patient care team, supporting release of information requests and coordinating with staff to route reports efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be flexible and able to work independently.
• Must demonstrate proficiency using computer and electronic imaging technology.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and prepares medical records for scanning process.
• Determine correct scanning settings to ensure quality of each document scanned.
• Scan documents into patient’s electronic medical record and files them in the appropriate folders.
• Assign all incoming reports, i.e. labs, consults, to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Assists with processing of all release of information requests as per the established workflows.
• Other responsibilities as requested by management.
