Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners in Auburn, WA, is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to handle the sending, receiving, and filing of patient records. You will interact with patients, provider offices, and insurers while ensuring PHI/HIPAA compliance and timely access to documents.

This role requires at least two years in healthcare, strong communication, and the ability to multitask. EHR experience is preferred, and you should be able to work independently with solid time management.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare.
• Requires excellent communication skills and customer service.
• Requires exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Previous electronic health records experience preferred.
• Maintain professionalism and ensure operational efficiency.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate great time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Distributes faxes through EHR system with accuracy and timeliness.
• Make outgoing calls to obtain patient, provider or billing information.
• Receives and responds to calls, emails, tasks and Teams messages.
• Create New Patient charts with attention to details/accuracy.
• Process all requests for medical records per HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
• Assist medical records staff across sites as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
