Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Texas is seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk to compile, verify, and file patient records on-site. You will review and assemble records for scanning into our EMR system and respond to requests in a courteous, timely manner.

Position requires knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling, plus experience with an EMR system. Prefer RHIT/RHIA credentials and prior hospital/clinic experience; on-site coverage is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with HIPAA and legal requests such as subpoenas.
• Strong background in hospital/clinic EMR systems is preferred.
• RHIT/RHIA credentials are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical records for all patient types.
• Review and assemble records in standard order for EMR scanning.
• Respond to requests for records promptly and courteously.
