Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist to greet patients, manage multi-line phone lines, collect insurance details, schedule appointments and support billing activities. You will work closely with physicians and staff to ensure smooth patient experiences in a fast-paced dermatology environment.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong customer service and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones
• Greeting patients and vendors
• Signing patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed
• Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
