We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist in Stafford, Texas (77477). The Medical Receptionist will assist patients, doctors, office staff, and visitors, ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, greeting patients, answering phones, maintaining records, and other related tasks. The role involves being the first point of contact for patients, either in person or over the phone.

Essential Functions
  1. Manage daily clinic operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  2. Greet patients and provide necessary information.
  3. Assist patients with forms and documentation.
  4. Ensure accuracy of patient forms and logs, including demographics in EMR.
  5. Update patient information in EMR and related records.
  6. Notify providers of patient arrivals to keep appointments on schedule.
  7. Answer and route phone calls, handle inquiries.
  8. Maintain patient accounts with updated personal and financial info.
  9. Remind patients of upcoming appointments.
  10. Schedule and reschedule appointments.
  11. Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  12. Keep the reception area clean and organized.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, federal, and state regulations.
  • Understanding of insurance processes, verification, and patient responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel between facilities if required.
Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay rate: $15/hour

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of clinical setting experience.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.
