Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to be the face of our clinic and the first step in our patient-first approach. Your role will involve insurance verification, financial counseling, and providing exceptional patient service to ensure smooth clinic operations and financial health.

Responsibilities
  1. Master Insurance Verification: verify coverage before services, prevent claim denials, maximize revenue.
  2. Financial Counseling: explain costs and billing processes clearly to patients.
  3. Solve Billing Problems: identify and resolve insurance discrepancies proactively.
  4. Drive Patient Satisfaction: deliver excellent service during financial conversations.
  5. Be the Face of AFC: greet patients professionally and warmly.
  6. Manage Front Desk: process payments, schedule appointments, check-ins.
  7. Protect Patient Information: maintain records and follow HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
  • Experience with insurance verification and medical billing (required).
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts empathetically.
  • Detail-oriented with accuracy in data entry.
  • Experience as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in Customer Service in a medical setting.
  • Familiarity with medical billing software and EMR systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude.
