Salary: 16.26-24.40 USD

Shift: Shift 1

Status: Per Diem FTE: 0.1

Bargaining Unit: Trinity Medical

Exempt from Overtime: No

Work Schedule: Days

Summary:

The Medical Receptionist is under the supervision of the office manager or practice administrator, responsible for greeting patients, scheduling, bookkeeping, answering calls, accepting payments, and maintaining patient accounts. May take direction from a team lead.

Responsibilities:
Education
  • High School diploma or GED required
Experience
  • Preferred one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting involving clerical, office, patient accounting, and reception tasks
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong customer service and telephone skills
  • Knowledge of medical insurance, HMO, and healthcare topics
  • Familiarity with medical procedures and terminology, including ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Proficient in computer use, Microsoft Word, and email
  • Patient-focused attitude
  • Organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain composure under pressure
  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Motivated and collaborative
  • Knowledge of Patient-Centered Medical Home, MIPS, and HEDIS (preferred)
Working Conditions:
Environment
  • Ability to travel to other Trinity Medical facilities
  • Standard office environment with occasional physical discomforts
