Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Medical Office Representative in Tampa, FL to support front desk operations in a busy physician practice and enhance the patient experience while maintaining efficient office workflows. This full-time, onsite role ensures smooth check-in/check-out, scheduling, and accurate patient record maintenance.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of healthcare experience or Six (6) months of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients during check-in and check-out.
• Collect payments and process revenue cycle activities.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and surgeries.
• Handle patient inquiries and resolve administrative concerns.
• Enter physician orders and maintain accurate patient records.
• Use multiple computer systems to manage provider schedules.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up needs.
• Support daily office operations and administrative functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Overview

As a Medical Office Representative, you will support front desk operations in a busy physician practice and play a key role in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring efficient office workflows.

• Greeting and assisting patients during check-in and check-out

• Entering physician orders and maintaining accurate patient records


• Utilizing various computer systems to manage provider schedules


• Communicating with patients regarding appointments and follow-up needs


• Supporting daily office operations and administrative functions


• Performing other duties as assigned
