Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a Scheduler to provide outstanding customer service while coordinating patient appointments and communications with physicians and hospital teams.

Responsibilities include collecting patient information, confirming demographics and insurance, and preparing patients for exams. High school diploma and 1 year of relevant experience required; benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in healthcare, business, or customer service.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel between BayCare locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Schedule procedures and appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Provide preparation instructions for clinical exams.
• Document patient responses to clinical questions.
• Communicate scheduling updates with physician offices and hospital teams.
• Support authorization and payer guideline adherence.
• Perform clerical duties including answering phones and data entry.
• Assist with workflow coordination and patient inquiries.
• Travel between BayCare locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Location: Winter Haven
• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
• Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
• Weekend Work: None
