BayCare in Tampa is seeking a Medical Office Representative to support front desk operations in a busy physician practice and to ensure a positive patient experience while maintaining efficient workflows.

You will greet patients, collect payments, schedule appointments and procedures, and enter orders while keeping accurate records. The role offers extensive training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth within BayCare Medical Group.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Six months healthcare experience OR six months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients during check-in and check-out.
• Collect payments and process revenue cycle activities.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and surgeries.
• Handle patient inquiries and resolve administrative concerns.
• Enter physician orders and maintain accurate patient records.
• Utilize computer systems to manage provider schedules.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up needs.
• Support daily office operations and administrative functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Overview

As a Medical Office Representative, you will support front desk operations in a busy physician practice and play a key role in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring efficient office workflows.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting and assisting patients during check-in and check-out

• Scheduling appointments, procedures, and surgeries

• Entering physician orders and maintaining accurate patient records

• Supporting daily office operations and administrative functions
• Performing other duties as assigned
