The ideal candidate has 5 years in a physician practice, completion of a Medical Office Assistant program, and EMR/EHR familiarity (NextGen or Athena). Proficiency in Windows Office is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Office Assistant program preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a physician practice preferred.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred (NextGen or Athena).
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook and Internet in Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect patient demographics and verify insurance.
• Process referrals and perform data entry tasks.
• Coordinate daily physician office operations and front desk activities.
• Handle charge entry, patient balance processing and daily reconciliation of charges and payments.
