Job summary

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma with 3+ years in a medical office setting; travel to multiple Atlantic Health locations may be required; flexible weekday schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to travel to Morristown, Rockaway, Pompton Plains and/or Bridgewater locations.
• Flexible schedule Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients for case histories prior to appointments.
• Schedules and coordinates appointments.
• Maintains patients' health records accurately.
• Verifies insurance coverage and assists with billing processing.
• Obtains insurance referrals for appointments.
• Triages and answers scheduling inquiries by phone.
• Assists with rescheduling and other scheduling issues.
• Performs other related duties and HIPAA-compliant work.
