Job summary

Optum is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator II to be the first point of contact for a provider’s practice in Seattle. You will organize daily activities, manage appointments, registrations, and patient communications, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality customer service.

The role requires 1+ year of medical office experience, proficient computer skills, and strong communication across teams. Typical hours are Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, at 904 7th Avenue, Seattle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or higher).
• 1+ years of computer proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical office handling scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification, payments, and medical records.
• Ability to answer multiple phone calls efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, schedule appointments and procedures following guidelines.
• Verify patient information and document in EPIC EHR.
• Inform patients about insurance and referrals.
• Check in/out patients and collect co-pays and balances.
• Respond to phone inquiries promptly and route messages as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and registrations per policy.
• Meet performance measures set by Practice Management.
