Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I to join our testing team at 90 Blossom Street. This role processes specimens, performs tests, and reports results under CLIA guidance, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.

We offer a generous sign-on bonus of 10,000 USD for eligible candidates and starting pay of 33 USD per hour, with additional differentials based on experience, education, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical lab sciences or related field.
• ASCP-BOC eligibility preferred.
• 1–2 years lab experience.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.
• Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Identify problems that may affect test performance and notify supervisor or director.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
