Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I to perform testing and reporting under CLIA guidelines. Responsibilities include specimen handling, test performance, and maintaining quality control records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant lab science field and ASCP preferred. The position is onsite at 90 Blossom Street with a 40-hour weekly night shift, offering a starting rate of $33/hour plus applicable differentials and a generous sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or Laboratory Sciences.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced laboratory.
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to written protocols.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with staff and clinicians.
• Effective interpersonal and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, and reporting.
• Maintain proficiency testing samples and quality control records.
• Adhere to quality control policies and instrument calibration/maintenance.
• Identify and report problems affecting test performance or results.
• Communicate with supervisors and directors as needed.
• Document corrective actions for deviations from performance specs.
