Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated in Boston seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for evening, part-time work at 75 Francis Street (Amory Lab). The role involves performing CLIA-defined waived and non-waived tests under supervision, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring quality control.

Starting rate is $33.99/hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and additional incentives where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or Medical Technology, or Laboratory Sciences.
• ASCP Medical Technologist (ASCP-BOC) certification required.
• 2 years of lab experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.
• Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
• Follow the laboratory's corrective action policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established performance levels.
• Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting and correct or notify appropriate personnel.
• Document all corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
