Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Per Diem) to process specimens and perform high/moderate complexity testing. You will report accurate results and maintain compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating with teams to support patient care and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities include specimen accessioning, SOP-based testing, quality control documentation, equipment troubleshooting, and training of team members.

Qualifications

• Meets CLIA personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
• Healthcare or lab experience preferred (1 year).
• ASCP, AMT or defined equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and accessioning according to guidelines.
• Perform high/moderate complexity testing per SOPs.
• Report results with clinical correlation as applicable.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Monitor quality control and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Participate in proficiency testing and ensure proper sample handling.
