Avera St Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD is seeking qualified laboratory professionals to join a rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays schedule. The role involves performing a range of clinical laboratory tests, maintaining quality control, and training team members in new equipment and procedures.
The position requires MLS/AMT or MLS/ASCP certification within 1 year and applicable bachelor’s degrees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's transcript showing Medical or clinical Laboratory Scientist degree or related degree.
- Bachelor's transcript showing Medical Technology degree.
- MLS/AMT certification within 1 year.
- MLS/ASCP certification within 1 year.
Responsabilités
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of laboratory instrumentation or disciplines including supply inventory, quality control, calibration, reagent preparation, and corrective action.
- Accurately performs basic to complex clinical laboratory tests with independent judgment per protocol and equipment manuals.
- Distinguishes normal vs. abnormal results, rechecks abnormals, and alerts staff as needed.
- Communicates laboratory data and pertinent technical information to appropriate departments promptly.
- Develops protocols and participates in lab CQI, new instrumentation, and staff training.
