Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I for a direct hire at a leading client in Lewisville, TX. If you’re passionate about bringing the latest scientific discoveries to life and are ready to take the next step in your career, trust The Experts at Hiring Experts.

Pay Rate:

  1. $60-80,000/Year (commensurate with experience)
  2. $5,000 Sign On Bonus Available!
  3. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonuses.

Overview:

We are recruiting technologists from entry level to experienced, with a wide range of benefits and training!

Schedule:

  • Wednesday – Sunday, 3:00 – 11:30 PM (2 openings)
  • Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (3 openings)
  • Sunday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (3 openings)
  • Tuesday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 9:30 AM (1 opening)

Note: Training will be provided on days and shifts will be posted later.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record keeping.
  • Ensure proficiency testing samples are tested consistently with patient specimens.
  • Analyze specimens using approved procedures.
  • Review and release test results.
  • Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to policies when test systems are not within performance standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems affecting test performance or report issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Chemistry or Biochemistry. Transcripts will be reviewed.

Work Experience: At least 1 year of clinical experience in high complexity testing. Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS is strongly preferred.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
  • Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods.
  • Manual dexterity for manual and automated pipetting and instrument use.
