Description

JOB SUMMARY: Medical Lab Tech will perform lab functions related to COVID-19 testing. They will use various machines, test methods, and other skills to complete the tasks required by Claremore Indian Hospital Laboratory department.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Perform routine tests and laboratory procedures in a medical laboratory, including urinalyses, clinical chemistry tests, blood counts, and analytic tests.
• Prepare chemical reagent stains and solutions for automated equipment.
• Prepare specimens and tissue samples for study.
• Preliminarily identify bacterial cultures for review by a supervisor.
• Maintain laboratory stock of chemicals and glassware.
• Collect specimens from patients.
• Answer calls, record messages, and refer urgent messages for immediate action.
• Utilize computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
