JOB SUMMARY: Provide Medical Support Assistant services for the Pawnee Indian Health Center.
- Use standard forms to process incoming staff and patients by:
- Screen persons as required to enter facility
- Complete insurance forms
- Schedule appointments by phone or other methods
- Maintain medical records
- Record and file patient charts and medical records
- Able to use a computer to complete tasks in the EHR.
- Ensure anyone waiting at the Dental front desk is attended to in a timely manner. If there are medical or security issues, the MSA will get medical staff or security to address them in a timely manner.
- Answer the telephone, record and relay messages and/or redirect calls as necessary. Will refer urgent messages as necessary for immediate action. This need will be fulfilled by one (1) medical assistant working 8-hour shift. Exact schedule is attached at Attachment A at the end of this SOW.
- Direction will be provided by the dental assistant supervisor.
- Knowledge of communication skills and proficiency in the English language to enable tactful and diplomatic relations with all levels of staff, patients, and their families.
- Possess good oral and written communication skills as well as organizational management skills.
- Have experience with standard office administrative functions with verbal and writing skills.
- Frequently walk, reach, kneel, stoop, stand.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Background check required.
