JOB SUMMARY: Provide Part Time assistance to the OR/Surgery nurse manager at Claremore Indian Hospital, offering practical and administrative support. This charge nurse will not perform supervisory duties but will provide guidance to the nurse manager.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Plan, research, develop, and implement nursing care techniques, methods, and practices.
• Act as a consultant and expert in OR/Surgery nursing.
• Provide complex nursing care to surgical patients.
• Instruct nursing and medical staff in OR/Surgery.
• Support surgical procedures, including complex operations.
• Coordinate with surgeons on instruments, sutures, and equipment; care for patient needs.
• Assist with supplies and equipment handling.
• Ensure proper care of specimens and aseptic techniques.
• Create work schedules and oversee patient admissions/discharges.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and environment.
• Work cooperatively as part of a team and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with patients, families, and staff.
• Support team members and adhere to hospital and nursing standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and regulations.
• Provide administrative support, including budgeting and procurement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Background check required.
