Bon Secours is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) at St. Francis Downtown. The MLS performs routine tests on blood and other specimens, delivering accurate results and ensuring patient safety with quality control.

Required BS in Clinical Laboratory Science and MLS certification (or eligible). Externship preferred; strong professionalism and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced hospital lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent CLIA-approved program.
• MLS certification or eligible by a nationally recognized agency (ASCP preferred).
• Externship program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tests on blood, tissues and body specimens per lab procedures.
• Provides physicians with accurate results using clinical lab equipment.
• Ensures patient safety and data anonymity in all procedures.
• Performs quality control and verifies results before release.
• Maintains safe, clean work environment and troubleshoots equipment.
