Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) for the St. Francis Downtown location. The MLS performs routine testing on blood, tissues, and specimens and provides physicians with accurate results using a range of lab equipment.

Required are a BS in a CLS/MLS related field and MLS certification or eligibility (ASCP preferred). Externship is preferred. Competitive benefits and a patient-focused environment are offered.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field (CLIA approved program)
• MLS Certification or eligible by a recognized agency (ASCP preferred)
• Externship program completed (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, accurate manner per procedures
• Determines acceptability of specimens by visual inspection or by abnormal results
• Recognizes factors affecting measurements and follows protocols
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges
• Maintains safe, clean work environment and troubleshoots equipment
• Other duties as assigned
