Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/MLS for Southampton Medical Center (Franklin, VA) on a PRN basis. The role conducts routine tests on blood and other specimens, ensures accuracy and patient safety, and supports physicians with reliable results.

Qualifications include an MLS/MLT credential, 2 years in a clinical lab (preferred), and proficiency in quality control and lab safety. Competitive pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical experience in a clinical laboratory (preferred).
• Must have an MLS/MLT credential as described in the education section.
• Clear understanding of patient safety and confidentiality policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, accurate manner according to procedures.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet required ranges before release.
• Maintains equipment and work area, follows safety and infection control policies.
• Communicates results to physicians and collaborates with staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
