Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) at Anderson Hospital in the Cincinnati area. The role involves performing routine tests on blood, tissues and other specimens, delivering high-quality results, and ensuring patient safety and anonymity in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLIA-approved program) and MLS certification or eligibility. Externship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens, accurately and efficiently according to procedures.
• Determines acceptability of specimens by visual inspection and recognizing abnormal results.
• Recognizes factors affecting measurements and takes appropriate action per protocols.
• Performs quality control for all testing and ensures results meet established ranges.
• Maintains a safe and efficient work environment with equipment checks and routine monitoring.
