The role supports the Technical Specialist, helps implement new procedures, and ensures efficient workflow, compliance, and timely reporting in a fast-paced environment. Two years of MLS experience are required, with five years preferred; BS in CLS/MLS and ASCP eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Clinical Laboratory Science or MLS program (required)
• 2 years of clinical lab experience required
• 5 years of clinical lab experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Performs the duties of a Medical Lab Scientist
• Assists Technical Specialist with new procedures and policies
• Coordinates proficiency testing to meet deadlines
• Recommends system changes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Completes schedules and updates time for daily operations
• Fulfills compliance responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned
