Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) at St. Vincent Medical Center Medical Office Building 2. The MLS performs routine tests on blood and other specimens, ensuring accuracy and physician-ready results with strict patient safety.

Requires a BS in CLIA-approved MLS-related field and MLS certification or eligibility (ASCP preferred). Externship completed is preferred. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a CLIA-approved program (required)
• MLS certification or eligible (ASCP preferred) (required)
• Externship program completed (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens accurately and timely
• Determines specimen acceptability via visual inspection or results
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges
• Maintains safe, clean work area and troubleshooting of equipment
• Other duties as assigned
