Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist II for a client facility in Nashville, TN. This 3rd shift role (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) requires at least 2 years of generalist lab experience and ASCP or AMT certification.

You will perform routine and complex tests, manage LIS, and ensure accurate reporting while following SOPs and safety protocols. Core lab expertise in coagulation, hematology, urinalysis, and related areas is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Generalist laboratory experience.
  • Core Lab experience in Coagulation, Hematology, UA, or related areas.
  • Must have LIS experience and ability to troubleshoot routine issues.
  • Certification: ASCP or AMT required; willingness to work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory testing according to SOPs.
  • Evaluate specimen acceptability based on criteria.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare reagents and quality control materials; report results timely.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and QC procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and follow protocols; ensure PPE and safety.
  • Utilize LIS for laboratory operations and data management.

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist II to support our client's healthcare facility in , Nashville, TN 37205.

Job Details

Schedule: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Location: , Nashville, TN 37205

Job Type: LOCAL contract

Contract Length: 06 months+

Pay Range: 35/Hour - 40 /Hour

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

  • Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory testing according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate and determine specimen acceptability based on established criteria.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make technical decisions related to testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory test results.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Monitor and replenish laboratory testing supplies as needed.
  • Assist with specimen processing when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all laboratory protocols.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • Utilize laboratory information systems (LIS) and computer systems for laboratory operations.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Follow CLIA, state, and departmental regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
  • Certification: ASCP or AMT required
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Generalist experience
  • Core Lab Experience: Strong experience in Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis (UA), and other core laboratory areas
  • LIS Experience: Must have prior experience working with a Laboratory Information System (LIS)
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot routine laboratory issues
