Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory procedures related to donor suitability, unit testing, and other required assays.
  • Conduct routine analytical testing using manual and automated methods and evaluate results against established controls.
  • Perform and document laboratory maintenance, quality control, calibration, and preventative maintenance according to SOPs.
  • Operate analytical instruments and laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and escalate unresolved equipment problems to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records while following cGMP, regulatory, safety, and EHS requirements.
  • Develop proficiency with laboratory information systems and sample workflows.
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment and follow all required PPE and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve laboratory and workflow issues.
  • Support training across multiple departments and perform other assigned laboratory duties.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and follow established procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Location model: 100% onsite – Knoxville, TN
  • Schedule: 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM; rotating holidays
  • Position Type: 6-month contract
  • Overtime/extended hours may be required based on laboratory operational needs
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens may occur; PPE is required
