Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Travel Specimen Processor - Lab in Fayetteville, NC. The role is a contract position with a 27-week length, offering a pay rate of $18.00–$18.08 per hour and night shift scheduling.

The candidate will perform specimen processing tasks, maintain data accuracy, and follow safety and compliance procedures in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills; ability to type 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour.
• Medical terminology or laboratory knowledge preferred.
• Previous laboratory, hospital, or production experience preferred but not required.
• Must be comfortable sitting/standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work primarily night shifts, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing functions including presorting, centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging, and specimen pickup/delivery.
• Accurately enter and process laboratory data while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Identify specimen types and follow testing, labeling, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and organized specimen processing.
• Follow laboratory safety, biohazard, compliance, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Weekly gross pay is based on a taxable hourly wage and daily lodging and meals & incidentals stipends based on USA GSA guidelines.
