Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to perform analytical evaluation of blood and body fluids, execute comprehensive laboratory procedures, and ensure accuracy in reporting results within a hospital lab setting.

The role includes quality control, troubleshooting instrumentation, and contributing to staff training and orientation. A Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related field and MT certification are required, with NAACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical lab science, or related field.
• ASCP or AMT MT certification required.
• NAACLS accredited MT program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical evaluation of blood and body fluids.
• Conduct all lab procedures including QC, specimen handling, processing, analysis, and reporting.
• Assist in orientation and training of personnel on equipment/software.
• Maintain department quality assurance and communicate with medical staff.
