Job summary

Novant Health in the United States is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to perform complex lab testing, quality control, equipment maintenance, and results reporting. You will train students and new staff, support instrument implementations, and help ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field from an accredited program.
• ASCP or AMT certification required.
• One year laboratory scientist experience in BB, Flow, or Micro preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory testing, quality control, equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain laboratory records, process requisitions, prepare reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Train students and new staff, and support new instrument implementations.
• Manage supplies and inventory, support process improvements, evaluate new testing methods.
• Provide technical assistance and communicate with healthcare teams, overseeing shifts when assigned.
• Follow safety protocols and promote patient-centered service.
