Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, Delaware seeks a Laboratory Scientist to perform analytical evaluation of blood and body fluids, execute all laboratory procedures, quality control, specimen handling, processing, analysis and reporting of results.

You will assist in evaluating new techniques, train staff on equipment and software, and contribute to quality assurance in a collaborative laboratory team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field.
• Successful completion of a NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology/MT program preferred.
• If graduated before 1987, a two-year MT certification is recognized.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blood and body fluids; perform comprehensive lab tests with QC and reporting.
• Assist in evaluation of new/modified techniques; train staff on equipment and software.

Education

Bachelor's degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science

NAACLS MT program certification preferred
