Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our Bardstown, KY outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, and schedule visits, while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED plus at least one year of front desk and medical office experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Full-time hours and benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

Schedule: Weekdays - Varies

Compensation: Starting at $17/hour (pending experience)

As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• Insurance Verification Experience
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health Care Experience
• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
