Job summary

Select Medical in Reston, VA seeks a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk and patient flow at the outpatient center. You will greet patients, register them, and guide them through their visit and next appointment, while supporting insurance verifications and payments.

The role requires coordinating with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. You will handle scheduling and payer communications in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of front desk experience.
• 1 year of medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits and next appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys, insurance companies and translators, and coordinate with operational leaders and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Position: Patient Service Specialist
Location: Reston, VA
Type of Employment: Full time (FLOAT)
Schedule: Weekdays - Varies
Compensation: $18-$22/hour - (Pending experience)

• This position requires traveling between centers in the greater Reston area.***
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record is preferred.***
