Job summary

Select Medical seeks a Patient Service Specialist - Float to support our Illinois outpatient centers. You’ll greet and register patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and coordinate with insurance and clinic teams to ensure a smooth visit for every patient.

Part-time, Monday–Friday (hours vary; some evenings). Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of medical office experience; preference for front desk and healthcare background.

• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience.
• Preferred 1 year front desk experience and healthcare background.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Locations: Napervlle, Oakbrook Terrace, Burr Ridge, Oak Park, Oak Lawn, Elmhurst, La Grange and Elmwood Park, IL

Type of Employment:Part-time

Schedule:Monday- Friday (hours vary/some evenings)

Compensation:$19.00 - $21.00/hour (pending experience)

As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center.
