Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our Newtown, CT outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, schedule appointments, and assist with payments as part of a seamless front-desk experience.

The role includes coordinating with insurers and attorneys, working Monday to Friday with some evenings, and contributing to a positive patient journey. Full-time status includes mentorship, PTO, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Preferred: 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, evenings M & W-F, full day Friday 7a-6p; 32-40 hrs/week

Compensation:$19.00 - $20.00/hour
