Job summary

Select Medical Fort Wayne outpatient physical therapy center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, explain visits, and schedule appointments. This full-time role supports efficient front-desk operations and accurate patient flow from arrival to checkout.

You will coordinate with physicians, insurers, and office staff, handling payments and confirmations while contributing to a positive patient experience at every touchpoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 Year Front Desk experience.
• Preferred: Insurance Verification Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays - Monday through Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-1pm

Compensation:$16.00 - $18.00/hour
