Job summary

Select Medical in Tampa, FL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front-desk operations and patient flow at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, and communicate upcoming appointments while supporting patient billing and insurance processes.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, and a patient-first approach. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with competitive hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Insurance Verification Experience.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience.
• Previous therapy experience.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Compensation: $16.00-$20.00/hour (pending experience)
